Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union (BFSFCU) is a full-service financial cooperative that was organized and chartered in 1947 as a convenient place for employees of the World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund and their families to save and to obtain credit. After over 70 years in business, we still work as a family and preserve that small organization feel. Our success as an organizations starts with our employees.

Hiring & Onboarding FAQs

Over the last months, we have proceeded with an overabundance of caution to keep our staff and members safe as we implemented our return-to-work process, after two years of mainly working remotely. For most roles, we have embraced the hybrid work model which is uniquely tailored to each business area. As part of that, we wanted to share the changes we have made to our recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes.   • Q: Is Bank-Fund Staff Federal Credit Union (BFSFCU) hiring?

  • Q: How are you interviewing candidates currently?

    A: As part of our commitment to health and safety for our members, staff and their families, we have temporally shifted interviews from in-person to virtual. A recruiter will review your application to determine potential next steps. If you are identified to move forward in the hiring process, you will be contacted to coordinate next steps.

  • Q: What can I expect after I receive an offer?

    A: If you receive an offer letter, it will contain a start date and salary information. You will have the opportunity to review and accept the offer online, which is contingent upon a number of pre-employment steps including successful clearance of a background check and bondability verification. BFSFCU’s Human Resources team will work closely with you from recruitment to onboarding all the way through retirement and beyond.

  • Q: What does the Onboarding process look like?

    A: In order to complete the pre-employment screening such as I-9, employment verification documents and fingerprinting for the background check, you will need to physically come to the office on your start date. On this day, fingerprints will be captured, and our Information Technology department will set you up with the proper technology, and system access. Other aspects of the onboard process and job functions may be performed in a hybrid environment with a combination of onsite and remote schedule, depending on the department’s current need.

  • Q: Are new employees required to be vaccinated?

    A: All BFSFCU employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. New employees must provide a copy of documentation showing full COVID-19 vaccination cards to Human Resources on or before their start date. Exceptions may be available in accordance with federal and state laws.

  • Q: What is the current protocol for wearing masks when working onsite?

    A: The CDC and local health officials are reinforcing that it is safe for employees to return-to-work. Effective April 2022, fully vaccinated employees are no longer required to wear a mask with a few exceptions. Staff in certain locations may be required to wear a mask based on location-specific requirements. As state and federal authorities release new health and safety guidance and requirements, BFSFCU will continue to review and update our coronavirus-related policies and procedures as warranted.

  • Q: What if I have questions about benefits?

    A: Our HR team will provide a benefits overview and access to our internal resources to help you navigate your benefits package. For additional questions, please reach out to your HR point of contact.
